Sonadow - King and his slave part 6

The next morning, Shadow woke up upon hearing the sound of the church bells. So it was Sunday... Shadow got out of bed, got dressed and walked to the window. It was a beautiful Sunday morning and the sun was shining brightly in the cloudless sky. There was no sign of last night's rain and stormy weather. Shadow looked out a moment, but then he left the room. He looked around and tried to find Rouge or the king himself. While walking on the hallway, he encountered many servants, but this time they were nicer to him. Actually, he was admired. Because he had been taking a bath and received new clothes, he didn't looked like a slave at all. A few court ladies looked at Shadow with admiration and when Shadow take a look at them, they blushed and began to giggle. Shadow felt a little embarrassed. He was only a slave, nothing else. He doesn't earned the admiration or special treatment. So he ran away from the scene as fast as he could. Shadow stepped into another hallway, and was going towards the throne room. He looked out of the window by accident. He froze in horror and rushed to the window. This could not be true! His eyes widened when he saw that mr. Scourge entered into castle. Suddenly, Shadow remembered his nightmare and began to tremble. What on earth is his former master doing in here? He had already sold Shadow to the king Sonic and received a small fortune from the king. Shadow ran quickly to the throne room and saw the king sitting on the throne.

"My king!" he shouted while running beside the king. He collapsed to his knees beside the throne and looked at the king. Sonic looked at his slave in wonder.

"Shadow, what's wrong?" he asked. Shadow was just about to speak, when suddenly he felt a cold gaze behind him. He noticed how king Sonic lifted his eyes slowly away from him and faced the gaze of the character, who was behind Shadow.

"Good morning, my darling king," queen Amy said to the king Sonic. Shadow put his head down resignedly to show honor to the queen. He felt how the the queen patted his head, and the cold shiver ran along his skin. He didn't like the fact that the queen was close to him. In her was something that Shadow didn't like. And Shadow was sure that Amy patted his head right now just to annoy him and make him feel even more inferior. The queen would have continued patting him like a dog, if king Sonic wouldn't have grabbed her hand and made her stop.

"He is a slave. Not a dog, queen Amy," the king said with irritation. The queen was surprised a little of king's sudden irritation, but then she just pulled out her hand and went to sit on her own throne. Shadow raised his eyes a little, and he met the queen Amy's extremely angry look. Shadow startled slightly and dropped his gaze quickly. The queen Amy really seemed to hate him... Suddenly Shadow felt a gentle ironing on his head. He looked up and saw that king Sonic smiled at him gently and stroked his head.

"Don't mind about her, my slave," he whispered. Shadow smiled tiny bit and let out a small, quiet purr. The sound of Shadow's purrs made Sonic smile even more. For a moment he forgot completely, why he was at all rushed over to his king. But then, queen Amy reminded him again about it.

"My beloved king, we get a guest here on this beautiful morning," Amy said and looked at her king with sweet smile, but in her eyes was a stealthy look. Sonic looked at Amy puzzled. He could not remember anyone he had invited to the castle today.

"Who this guest might be?" the king asked. The queen smiled with satisfaction, as if she would have expected the king's question.

"I kindly invited mr. Scourge back here to negotiate about that slave," Amy said, and looked at Shadow with triumphant smile on her lips. Both Shadow and king Sonic himself shocked a little bit. Shadow began to tremble slightly as he remembered again his nightmare of last night. Sonic looked at Amy a little angrily.

"What on earth are you talking about? I bought Shadow for myself. There is nothing left to negotiate!" he said.

"Oh but my darling king, you had quite clearly been forced to adopt a decision too soon. You should have been wait for me and then decide," queen said. Amy nodded to the guard, who was standing at the door, and the guard opened the door. Mr. Scourge stepped in the throne room. Shadow tried to hide behind the throne of the king, but the king stopped him by putting his hand on the head of his slave kindly. Shadow blushed and dropped his gaze quickly on the ground to cover his face and blush. Sonic looked a little annoyed when he was looking at Scourge, who walked towards king and queen and bowed. He grinned to the queen, who nodded to him as a sign that he could get up. Sonic didn't like this situation at all, and to calm his own nerves, he began to stroke Shadow's head. The slave attempted not to smile and be not purring, but it was really difficult. Sonic stood up from the throne and looked at Shadow.

"Get up Shadow," he said. Shadow quietly obeyed the king. Amy looked a little surprised. She got up too and looked at Sonic a bit questioningly.

"I'm certainly not going to negotiate about this issue, queen Amy. Mr. Scourge, I'm really sorry that the queen invited you here for nothing, and I ask you to forgive me for my wife, who made too hasty decisions by calling you here. I wish you a safe journey to home," the king said. Shadow noticed how on queen Amy's face appeared angry and disappointed expression.

"King Sonic! We need to discuss this issue!" she shrieked. But Sonic only gave Amy a unsympathetic gaze and then he turned his back on his wife.

"The subject is closed. Come on Shadow," Sonic said, and left the throne room Shadow behind him. The queen Amy looked after them with furious look. Mr. Scourge also looked after them, but then he noticed the queen.

"It seems to me that you want to get rid of this slave named Shadow. Am I right about that my queen?" he asked. The queen Amy turned to look at Scourge slowly.

"How much do I have to pay you, that I could get rid of that slave..?" she asked. Scourge grinned evilly and took his queen's hand and kissed it.

"As much as my gorgeous queen just want to give me," he said in flattering way to the queen, who seemed really pleased now. So the queen and slave dealer began to plan a plot to get rid of Shadow... When they had finished the plan, the queen Amy was more than satisfied. They decided to implement a plan only after a few months from now, when no one would suspect them. The queen Amy promised to pay mr. Scourge as soon as Shadow was gone and away from this kingdom. And so, a few months later, when Shadow was accustomed to the castle, and become really close with king Sonic, the plan was implemented.
